There are a lot of different ways to tell a story in games. The stories in games have become more and more important over the years. They add to the experience and give players a clear goal to work toward: ending the story. However, some games aren’t good at planned stories; instead, they use different features and systems that promote organic storytelling and support evolving gameplay.
Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor
There have been a lot of games set in Tolkien’s carefully created Middle-earth, but Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor stands out above the rest thanks to its innovative Nemesis System, which organically creates new enemies for players to find and beat.

Dwarf Fortress is a colony-sim/management game where players are in charge of a colony of randomly produced dwarves living in a world that is made by a computer program. Players do not have direct control over their dwarves, though. Instead, each created dwarf acts based on their own unique habits and pasts. This makes each member of the colony a unique and random part that will eventually do something interesting.
Dwarf Fortress has a reputation for having organic stories that are made possible by smart systems and random generation. These stories urge players to take on different roles and make each game play unique.
